Empowering the Next Generation to Achieve Their Dental Career Goals

The Academy for Dental Assisting Careers (ADAC) has been a trusted institution in the dental education field since its founding in 1996. Offering hands-on, accelerated training programs, the academy has prepared countless students for successful careers in dental assisting. However, recent shifts in the education landscape have led to challenges, with ADAC losing potential students to online competitors.

Project Scope
Despite ADAC’s solid reputation in the local community, its online presence and brand image have not kept pace with modern standards, appearing dated and reminiscent of a mom-and-pop shop. This has resulted in a loss of trust among prospective students, especially those who expect a professional, tech-forward learning environment.

The project’s core objective was to revitalize the ADAC brand with a fresh, modern website and a cohesive digital marketing strategy. The new website not only improved visual appeal but also enhanced user experience, attracting new students, and re-established ADAC as a credible leader in dental education.

Inspiration
For ADAC’s branding, the goal was to create a modern and versatile logomark that would resonate with women, especially those in the Gen Z and Gen A demographics. The brand needed to represent a fresh and forward-thinking dental assisting program that is both affordable and high-quality, while also feeling approachable and trustworthy.

Brand Design
The design centers around a unique logomark featuring a tooth donning a cap and gown, symbolizing the educational journey and future success of ADAC attendees. The choice of this imagery is intentional, offering a playful yet professional representation that appeals to younger students who are embarking on a career in dental assisting. The logo was crafted to be iconic and adaptable, making it suitable for various applications, from online presence to print materials.

The overall aesthetic maintains a sleek and simple design, ensuring that the brand feels modern and high-quality, yet without a premium price tag. The focus was on balancing affordability with a polished, professional look, creating a welcoming image that instills trust while emphasizing the accessibility of ADAC’s programs. The process of building the new Academy for Dental Assisting Careers (ADAC) website began with a deep dive into understanding the academy's goals, target audience, and pain points. The primary objective was to create a modern, user-friendly site that would resonate with prospective students, particularly Gen Z and Gen A, while addressing the outdated, mom-and-pop feel of the previous site.

We focused on intuitive navigation, easy access to course information, and clear calls-to-action to encourage enrollment. The website was built with a mobile-first approach to ensure accessibility across all devices, optimizing the experience for tech-savvy users. Throughout the process, we maintained close collaboration with the ADAC team, incorporating feedback to ensure the final product reflected their vision for the future of dental education. For the upcoming winter semester, each of ADAC’s three locations is completely full, a testament to the website’s ability to attract and convert new leads. The modern design, combined with an optimized user experience, not only restored trust in the academy but also positioned ADAC as a top choice for students pursuing dental assisting careers. The overwhelming response highlights the success of the digital transformation, driving enrollment and reinforcing the academy’s reputation as a leader in hands-on dental education.
