About the project

Securing and managing rental properties just got easier

Renters face many challenges when it comes to finding and managing a home. This includes the tasks of locating a suitable property, securing it, getting approved for it, and dealing with the ongoing maintenance needs. But with the help of Kalidy, things just got a little bit easier.

Kalidy is a property management company based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma that oversees thousands of homes throughout the state.

Project Scope
They requested to revamp their website and develop a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that helps manage properties, marketing, home maintenance, and also provides a rental portal for both prospective and current residents. Within this portal, potential renters can keep track of their application status, while current residents can use it to pay bills, access important documents, and request maintenance services.

Visual Identity

Kalidy's brand identity is centered around their catchy slogan "Friends for Life," which is reflected in their use of vibrant and playful blocky colors. The aim is to evoke memories of childhood and the joy of sharing blocks with friends, but with a contemporary and mature twist. As most of their tenants are young families with children, Kalidy's branding strategy is designed to appeal to this demographic.

Brand Archetype
Kalidy's brand evokes the magician archetype. The brand is meant to be larger than life and inspire the impossible. That is because sometimes closing on a house or finding your dream home with maybe not the best credit situation can feel like an impossibility. For this reason, pink and purple are the most primary of their colors in their color palette, but also utilize additional bright sub colors to set the mood.

Creating an easy to use website to search for homes

For the Kalidy Homes website, it was important to not only show the avalible properties, but also use the website as a tool to also establish culture and put concerns to bed for future residents.

The website was designed to cater to both English and Spanish speakers and is intended for both locals and individuals interested in relocating to specific areas in Oklahoma. To achieve this, users can search for homes in a particular location using an interactive map and access information about the surrounding area, all in one convenient location.

The dashboard was created to have multiple levels all of which conveys relevant information based on the level of user. User types for this software include: Administration, Construction, Marketing, Resident, and Potential Renter.
